"Put the blame on Mame, boys ..."

As we have previously stated, men have been bonding in
various ways for thousands of years. They have built
up tradition, uniform and language which are truly
man-made and exclude women. It has only been recently
that some women have started to bond and establish some
traditions of their own that are not man directed or
approved. SHE is becoming. SHE is stepping out into
the world and discovering herself, HER feelings, HER
attitudes, HER comfortable attire and HER life.

Now that she is allowed, she is developing her body
and, on average, is taller and stronger than women
born earlier in this century. She is into sports and
fitness disproving the old wives/husband tales that
women's bodies would disintegrate if they did anything
except housekeeping and child bearing. Still, the old
prejudices continue to haunt and condemn her progress.

The media and public pressure, called by some "back-
lash", is a force that all women must reckon with
during their voyage of self-discovery. We will cite some
examples of these pressures.

Does a woman own her body or does the state or a reli-
gious sect? Does a woman have the right to a doctor
and treatment of her choice in safety, or must she seek
this help fearing reprisal from terrorist? Let's take
a look at why there should be any such questions in the
first place.

Our culture, despite the advances of science in the
last century, continues to blame women for what it
construes as problems or trouble. Although science has
proven that women do not "get" themselves pregnant ie
they do not self-combust and become "unwed mothers" or
"welfare mothers" etc, we, media and politicians blame
women. The cause of a pregnancy is and has always been
a microscopic entity called a sperm. A sperm is NOT
produced by women, it is produced and delivered by men.

Usually when a human problem is identified, such as
physical disease, we may treat the symptoms, but we
will also go after the cause. When we find it to be a
bacteria, mold or virus, for example, we may then
prevent the dis-ease by vaccination or treat it with a
drug. Strange, isn't it that in the case of pregnancy,
we practically ignore the cause and blame the woman?

****** A HEADS UP: ************

We are informed that the 20th Century Darth Vader, named
Randall Terry, and his storm troopers from the dark, anti-
woman side of the Force plan to picket some of our nation's
high schools. Starting around March 3rd in the Boston area,
they will gather at these schools with their computer-imaged
huge blow-ups of what they call mutilated "babies" which
result from late term abortions.

If they were at all honest, they would use real pictures of
the terrible results that may occur when a pregnancy has gone
wrong and threatens a pregnant woman's health and life.
Instead, they electronically scan a healthy newborn and then
using computer graphics, mutilate this image and photography
the results for their posters.

Your local Woman's Clinic and/or Planned Parenthood may have
information of when these folks are expected in your area.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
